    Wendy Galbraith

    Singer, Guitar, Wannabe Drummer

    Wendy’s always been creatively inclined; she’s a former fashion and interior designer. Wendy is now happily retired, allowing her to focus on painting and music. Wendy is a self-taught guitarist, aspiring drummer, and singer. She loves playing all kinds of music with the church band .

    Jim & Carol Bowen

    Guitar, Harmonica, Vocalist

    Jim and Carol Bowen have lived part-time in Peru since ’09 and full-time since ’23.  Both enjoy the many winter and summer outdoor activities available in Vermont.  He’s a Civil Engineering professor; she a health care attorney; both are retired.  They both sing; he plays guitar and harmonica; she plays flute.

    Bob and Kim Ray

    Bob: Guitar, Kim: Fiddle

    Bob is a great guitar player and loves playing in the Who’s In Town Band. He is considering taking a break from band performances for a while, but we hope he visits soon. His lovely wife, Kim joins him on the fiddle.

    Tom Ragland

    Guitar, Bass, Preacher

    Tom Ragland is an ordained Interfaith Minister and graduated from All Faiths Seminary. He does music therapy and leads spiritual study groups at two local memory care units. He also leads a monthly workshop at the Divided Sky Foundation in Ludlow, VT. He started The Harrison Rush Group in 2010, an executive search firm. He is married to his wife Sally and has two children. He plays guitar and bass in the band.

    Amy Chamberlain

    Singer, Chef, Culinary Coach

    Amy graces the Peru Church with her soulful vocals and infectious smile. She has been on stage with Bruce Hornsby, Lyle Lovett, Merle Sanders, and was lead singer with Basic Food Group and the Battenkillers.

    Pete Johnson

    Banjo

    Everybody loves Pete. Joyful like his banjo playing, the Peru Church Who’s Town Band is blessed whenever Pete joins in for a song or two or three. Pete has been playing the banjo for approximately two years.  He acknowledges he has a lot more to learn about it but greatly enjoys playing with the Who’s In Town Band.  He is admittedly a “nervous performer” (not crazy about solos) although it has been a valuable learning opportunity making music with our more experienced musicians.

    Mason Daring

    Guitar, Piano, Composer

    How many churches in Vermont get to say Mason Daring is a member of their band! Mason is a film composer, record producer, and former Associate Professor at the famed Berklee College of Music. If that isn’t enough Mason has composed music for over 75 feature films. Mason gets around, spending time in Savannah, Marblehead, and beautiful Pawlet, VT.

    David Key

    Guitar, Finger Picker

    David and his wife, Robin, live in Winhall Hollow on an old family farm that periodically attracts their three children and their families. David is learning finger style guitar with emphasis on roots, blues and gospel Americana. When not playing music David is an agricultural economist. David is graduate of UVM and Cornell University and grew up on Long Island and Greenwich village NY. He is building a maple sugar orchard called Aiken’s Gore Maple in Winhall.

    Sheila Selden

    Singer, Dobro player

    In addition to bringing her dobro to the Who’s in Town Band, Sheila is a graphic designer who has been helping design this site and edit video, She has a passion for laughter and slide guitar.

    Evangelia Leontis

    Vocalist, Choral Director

    Evan is an accomplished soprano who has performed on opera, concert, and recital stages across the United States. She holds the degree as Doctor of Musical Arts from UNC Greensboro, a Master’s from Boston College, and a Bachelors in vocal performance from Eastman School of Music. Evan currently serves on the voice faculty of Keene State College. She and her husband live in Winhall VT with their beautiful twin daughters.

    Pianist, Music Director, WIT Band Wrangler

    What more can you say about Judy! Talent, dedicated, incredibly friendly, 16 years leading all things Peru Church Music! She is loved and appreciated by all.

    Marietta Formanek

    Vocalist, Choral Director

    Marietta sings beautifully and has directed the Peru Church’s Christmas Choir many times, with great success. She is swamped with work right now but promises to get us bio soon.

    Evelyn Bond

    Vocalist

    Evelyn is currently a student at Vermont State University Castleton, majoring in Special Ed. She has loved singing all her life, and is now a member of the university’s chamber singers’ choir. She enjoys singing at various venues and has acted and sung in shows at the Dorset Playhouse.
